Green Point is located northwest of the CBD. It lies between the V&A Waterfront and Signal Hill, on Main road en route to Sea Point. (do not confuse the two points with each other, the inhabitants will quickly correct you) It is known for its bustling nightlife, and a number of great restaurants, cafés, delis, coffee shops, and stylish boutiques.

Green Point is also hailed as one of the trendiest neighbourhoods in the city. Many of the homes are Victorian-style restorations with elegant balconies and trellises. And with the development of new mid-rise apartments and mixed-use buildings, it has now become a popular residential area for young professionals.

A big feature of the area that you can’t miss, is the Cape Town stadium. It was built for the 2010 Fifa World Cup and is a must-see for those interested in football. If you are looking for a family-friendly place for a picnic, romantic walks, outdoor exercise, and healthy activities, the Green Point Park is the perfect place for you. The park has an outdoor gym, a play park, adventure park, and outdoor labyrinth. Another point of interest in the area, is the Mouille Point Lighthouse on the other side of the park. It was the first solid lighthouse structure on the South African coast and it’s the oldest operational lighthouse in the country.

With a wide variety of things to do and places to visit, Green Point is definitely worth exploring!
