Asoka is a popular restaurant found on Kloof Street known for its relaxed outdoor dining atmosphere, soothing jazz music and incredible cocktails. On Mondays, the restaurant opens its doors to diners for a scrumptious three-course meal for a great price of R195! (excluding drinks and gratuity)

If you want to enjoy a casual Monday lunch or dinner, then the Cape Town Fish Market will be your best bet. Here you can get a 200g portion of fish and chips, or any burger and chips for R55. If that’s not enough to convince you to try out the restaurant, they also have the double beef burger for R95, plus a portion of sticky toffee dessert for R40 or a half a portion for R20!

Picking the perfect spot to enjoy with your crew of friends comes easy with the Larder Café Monday specials. The restaurant hosts a supper club three evenings a week, and on Mondays they have a special Roast Chicken special that you and three other friends can enjoy. The dinner includes a plate of organic, locally sourced roast chicken with a colourful selection of sides for only R600. The meal can include a bottle of wine for every table of four. However, if you can’t get a group of four to come along with you, you are still welcome to enjoy with just one friend for R150 each.

Not just one Hudson branch serves a Monday special, but all three! Every Monday, the Hudson’s burger joints have a 2 for 1 special on beers, appetizers, and cocktails from 16:30 to 18:30. Their cocktails include a colourful selection of mixed drinks like Bloody Marys, Cosmopolitans, Mai Tais, Mojitos, and Moscow Mules. The craft beer selection includes the restaurant’s Pale Ale Drought. If you’re curious to know what’s on the menu for the appetizers, it includes falafels, mac and cheese croquettes, crumbed chicken strips, cheese chili poppers, and bacon wrapped chili poppers, to name a few.

Every Monday the Royale Eatery Burger and Milkshake restaurant has selected burgers available for R45 from 15:00 – 17:00. Sure, this could be a bit early for a dinner meal but if you don’t plan on eating so early, you can always enjoy their one of a kind double thick milkshakes or indulge in their famous malva pudding with ice cream. Delicious!
Good food always tastes even better with a great atmosphere. At the Vineyard Hotel, you can enjoy an early dinner with a glass of Nativo wine while soaking up all that gorgeous nature for R145. This special is available from 16:00- 19:00 and changes for each week. If you are a wine connoisseur and you enjoy wine tasting, the VineyardHhotel also has a weekly wine tasting session free of charge from 18:00 to 19:00, which is the perfect opportunity to meet the people behind the great tasting wine.

The “in by 6 out by 8” Monday special includes a 180g sirloin steak, deep fried calamari, chicken schnitzel, hot and spicy chicken wings or vegetable spring rolls for R80. If you want to get a little creative with your food choices, you also have the option to combine any of the two dishes listed to create your own combo meal for R140. Aside from the mouth-watering food selection that’s already mentioned, you can also opt for lamb shank, line fish, or a 400g spare rib for R125 and a grilled vegetarian salad for R85. All the dishes that are mentioned include a choice of rice, a baked potato or chips, with two vegetables.
The Labia Theatre: Unbeatable Dinner + Movie Deals
Enhance your movie experience with more than just popcorn! The Labia Theatre is the oldest independent art nouveau cinema in the country. It has four intimate screens, a romantic fairy covered terrace, and delicious nibbles such as quiches and muffins. This is not your average cinema, you can even buy a glass of wine or mojito to enjoy with your movie. A few restaurants close to the cinema offer delicious pre-movie meals.
The Wang Thai is a restaurant filled with traditional culinary Thai flair. Bistro Sixteen82’s location is definitely one that you will want to visit regularly. This well-designed restaurant’s dining area overlooks a homegrown garden that is punctuated with impressive water fountains and metal sculptures. The special Hearty & Homely menu includes roasted onion and broccoli soup, ricotta gnocchi and pulled beef, pickled fish, apple bread, butter pudding, and yoghurt mousse to name a few. You can enjoy not only two-, but three- or four-courses worth R230, R265, or R295.

The Mount Nelson is the perfect place to enjoy a delightful winter special that includes popular favourites like a prawn cocktail, Caesar salad, steak tartar, smoked salmon and even a guinea fowl terrine.
Fondue lovers rejoice! No matter what season, the Planet Bar will be the perfect spot to enjoy a cocktail or two after a day at the office. Rockpool restaurant located on the beachfront, with epic sea views at the outside tables, is running a special buy one get one free pizza and burger deal to chase away those winter blues. Even better, you can also mix and match, which makes this offer impossible to pass up. You can choose between two pizzas, two burgers, or a pizza and a burger to pair up with an exciting ambiance.

Here’s another popular restaurant that is definitely worth a visit. The 41 is where diners go to enjoy a nice breakfast, lunch or dinner with a view. Come sundown, the beach-facing terrace is the perfect spot for you to enjoy the restaurants creative signature cocktails or a glass of wine, followed by a Mediterranean inspired dish, with an epic view. This winter, you can enjoy a special two or three French inspired course meal with classics like pork belly ribs, beef rib eye, and crème brûlée.
Known for its Parisian interior, scrumptious Italian and French inspired dishes — the Brasserie is a popular family favourite. The restaurant offers a special offer for lunch. For R98 you can enjoy a main dish and a drink of your choice.
Paired with an enthralling scene of the Camps Bay strip, and appetizing Mediterranean inspired dishes — Bilboa has a lot going in terms of dining experience and food selection. Radiating with crafty style and grace, Blanko is located in the historic Alphen hotel. This gallery-style space restaurant is filled with gorgeous Italian marbled tables, textured furniture, and a brightly lit bar. The winter special menu includes two-courses for R190 or three if you are feeling a bit generous for R240. Another option would be to opt for a special signature dish on the winter menu, which is just as good.
Bobo’s Brasserie is another restaurant on the list that we absolutely recommend you check out. Situated on the Mouille Point strip, this restaurant evokes the feeling of a trendy brasserie on the French Riviera. In addition to the breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean, the Instagram-worthy interior, a rocking playlist, and a fun vibe — this cosmopolitan café also serves a colorful selection of wines, spirits, and yummy cocktails inspired by the seaside location. The winter special menu offers a divine selection of dishes including grilled prawns, bistro-style steaks, and stuffed mushrooms, to name a few.
Botanicum Café and Grill is owned by the same company as Bootlegger Coffee Company. This awesome place is an all day plant-based eatery. The menu includes fresh green salads, Neopolitan style pizzas, and many other interesting and mouth watering grilled dishes cooked in a Spanish charcoal oven. For winter, you can enjoy a three-course lunch set for R225!
Cape Point Vineyards is the only restaurant with all the wine you can drink on the Cape Peninsula, with a matching unhindered 360 degree view point of the vineyards, mountains, fynbos, and of course the Atlantic Ocean. Aside from that beautiful scene to take in while you are dining, they also have an interesting winter special, which you can enjoy for R195!
If you are looking for a restaurant with a classic twist to the food, then Firefish will be your best bet. This restaurant is known for specializing in charcoal cooking. As the name suggests, you can enjoy grilled or roasted dishes without losing any of their natural flavours. Their wide variety of dishes are not only perfect for carnivores but also for vegetarians and sushi lovers. They have a winter menu that is jam packed with interesting signature dishes you should check out!
Lily’s is an all day restaurant located on Mouille Point’s Golden Mile. The restaurant combines a lavish interior with a carefully considered menu, which includes a selection of winter specials, available for lunch and dinner with accompanied wine.
If you want a dining experience with an exquisite selection of seafood dishes matched with a lovely view, then Paranga is your best choice. This restaurant serves a fresh selection of delectable seafood in a classy modern setting. Restaurant Seven is located in shop seven, which is at the Avenues Centre in Somerset West. It is reputable for serving customers with gentle and enjoyable dishes for lunch and dinner. Restaurant Seven has a special winter menu, which includes a three-course set menu for R295.
Swaggering uninterrupted views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Bungalow is one of the best restaurants with a view in Cape Town. It’s social vibe make it an excellent choice for get-togethers. Do you fancy a little classy art selection and creativity along with your breakfast, lunch, or dinner? Overlooking outstanding vineyards and mountains, the Skotnes restaurant is set in the garden of a world-class museum. The bistro pays tribute to the old-fashioned dishes of South Africa, but with a modern flair on the flavours. Open for lunch and dinner, the restaurant has a great winter special offering all culture vultures with a reason to pop in and take advantage of the two- or three-course winter special. The stack is a stylish cozy, hip, and glam historic restaurant located in Leinster Hall in Gardens. More than the fancy Instagram-worthy interior making a great first impression, the cocktails and selection of dishes are simply to die for. Enough reason to keep coming back for more. In fact, you can enjoy their winter special, which includes any three-course meal off the menu for R275!
Joining fellow The Kove Collection restaurants Umi, Paranga and Bilboa in Camps Bay, Zenzero offers foodies a slice of la dolce vita with their Italian flavours and cool interiors. This winter, it’s serving up a host of specials: signature dishes (namely the gnocchi, osso bucco and prawn linguine) and selected wines for less; as well as two- and three-course meals for R220 and R260 respectively.
Cape Town is full of cultural bliss, and one restaurant that is jam-packed with all kinds of interesting history, is the Hout Bay Manor. This building was built in 1871 and holds historical significance which is why it has been gracefully restored to showcase its former elegance. The restaurant offers two for one tapas every Monday (through to Friday) from 12:00 to 19:00. For happy hour, the drinks menu includes wine and beer from 17:00 to 19:00. The tapas are priced at R50, which includes chicken wings, crumbled buffalo mozzarella, mini beef burgers, pork belly, ocean cakes, gazpacho, and Kataifi Prawns.
Mantra Cafe is based in Camps Bay with an epic view of the ocean and beach as the sun sets over the ocean. From 16:00 — 19:00 Mantra offers their amazing cocktails for half price. We cannot think of any better way to end the day than watching the sun set over the Atlantic with a half price cocktail in your hand.
