Table View is a west coast suburb of Cape Town just 15 kilometres from the city centre. This suburb was named such for its spectacular views of Table Mountain that you see on so many postcards and calendars.

This suburb has a vibrant and growing community. One of the attractions in Table View is its spectacular beach.

Table View Beach

Table View Beach is located along the seafront road. This windy but beautiful beach is a long stretch of powdery white sand and is ideal for long jogs or walks. Beach activities such as swimming, sunbathing, kitesurfing, surfing, stand-up boarding SUP, and cycling are popular with the locals. With the majestic Table Mountain in the backdrop, the beach offers one of the best coastline in the region which makes it a favorite spot for kitesurfers.

During summer, the annual string of competition events such as Red Bull King of the Air attracts many international visitors to come to Table View.

You will often see Surfers congregate at a spot towards the northern end of the beach. On windy days, the locals fly beautifully-coloured kites of different forms and sizes. The beachfront is also lined with apartment blocks, restaurants, plenty of pubs and entertainment venues. You can also see stalls selling art and crafts.

Table View Beach has numerous parking spots so you won’t have to worry about parking. Other facilities include boat launch and slipway, disability access and toilets. Your pets are also welcome to join your picnics on the beach.

With its panoramic ocean view and the Table Mountain in the backdrop, the Table View is surely a perfect destination for everyone who wants to have fun under the sun!
