About Wynberg Park
In the heart of the Mother City lies the beautiful Wynberg Park. A fan-favourite among locals and tourists alike, the park is located in the lovely leafy Southern suburbs of Cape Town and stretches over 22 hectares. Showcasing some of the Western Cape’s most beautiful and unique vegetation and flora, it has established itself as a must-visit destination for all nature lovers and enthusiasts. In addition to Wynberg Park’s rich biodiversity, the Krakeelwater River’s spring also begins in the park.
The stunning Wynberg Park has fast become a popular destination to visit right throughout the year. This is partly due to its incredible conifer garden and exquisite and abundant display of hydrangeas in the summer months – Creating a glorious and colorful nature-lover’s escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Not to mention its wide-open spaces, lush green lawns, braai and picnic facilities and ample family-friendly activities.
When you visit Wynberg Park, be sure to hunt down the elusive Silvertree, which once grew abundantly in the area, however, now only one solitary tree remains.
