Marina da Gama is just 25 kilometers south of Cape Town, in Muizenberg. Waterways, parks, and landscaped open spaces surrounds the community. The area has magnificent views of Muizenberg Mountain, Constantiaberg, and Table Mountain. It was built on the eastern banks and the waterways of the last functional estuary in False Bay, the Zandvlei Estuary. The Marina da Gama Ltd developed it in the 1970’s, backed by Anglo American Properties Ltd and Creative Homes Ltd. The Marina da Gama borders are Prince George Drive in the west; the Geneva Road, Sheraton Park, and Coniston Park in the north; and Muizenberg central in the south.

The Marina da Gama has three major features: an ocean harbour with a full range of services and facilities, an 18-hole golf course with a country club, and a tranquil lake surrounded by houses and parks in a landscaped environment. The enclosed residential area offers an urban lifestyle concept which dates back to 1969. There are a number of accessible shopping centers and restaurants in the area. It is also close to the popular beaches of False Bay where you can enjoy swimming, sunbathing, surfing and other beach activities. Walks and picnics around the Marina da Gama area are also a popular pastime.

With its unique setting and tastefully designed houses, Marina da Gama surely makes for an idyllic outing
