#1 Kalky’s | Kalk Bay
Kalky’s is arguably one of the most famous, highly sought-after, and absolute BEST local harbourfront fish and chips spots and seafood restaurants in Cape Town – And the people of Cape Town agree!
Freshly caught on the owner’s boat, Kalkys is local seafood, made the real local way, by real Cape Town locals. Known for serving up a sensational variety of down-right delicious seafood, including hake, snoek, line fish (like yellowtail), and SO MUCH MORE – There is something for every head-over-heels seafood lover at heart!
Wrapped in a newspaper (the authentic old-school way) and served with a hefty dose of salt and vinegar (because that’s the way we do it in the Cape), you will undoubtedly be savoring EVERY single bite of your Kalky’s seafood feast! Paired with a beautiful False Bay, Kalk Bay harbourfront, and ocean view, it’s pure bliss! #2 Quay Four Restaurant & Tavern | V&A Waterfront

Quay Four, need we say more? Quay Four is a local fan favorite spot as well as one of the best seafood restaurants and eateries in Cape Town. Paired with a stunning harbourfront view and sensational seafood – What more could you ask for?

One of the first restaurants to open in the V&A Waterfront and now a famous landmark, the iconic Quay Four Tavern is buzzing with locals, tourists, and visitors virtually all year-round. The legendary downstairs Quay Four Tavern’s adjoining terrace fringes the Harbour, resting right on the edge of the water. Quay Four has an elegant upstairs restaurant where the emphasis is on fresh seafood. Choose between the exquisitely prepared langoustines and the succulent catch of the day or opt for one of their many sumptuous seafood platters and enjoy the best of both worlds. The a la carte menu includes a great feast of irresistible meat and poultry dishes including some venison options for the more adventurous palate.
