#8 Enjoy a cooling dip in the Saunders Rock Tidal Pool
Located on the rocky Saunders Beach, Saunders Rock Tidal Pool is situated between Clifton and Sea Point, hidden at the very end of the promenade, in the suburb of Bantry Bay. With white sand and blue waters, this beautiful spot is perfect for an afternoon swim. While the pool is a popular swimming destination on the weekends and holidays, it remains fairly empty during the week. So, put on a swimsuit, grab a towel, and head out for a swim at Saunders Rock Tidal Pool. Afterwards, you can grab something to eat at one of the many restaurants located along the beach.
It’s known to be particularly beautiful at sunset – making it a great sunset watching spot too!
#9 Cool off with an ice cream from The Creamery
Summers in Sea Point can be warm, and there’s no better way to let some of that heat melt away than by enjoying a down-right delicious and oh-so-cool ice cream from one of the top ice cream spots in Cape Town – The Creamery! If you’re a head-over-heels ice cream lover, you simply cannot miss out on the opportunity of tucking into a bowl or cone of The Creamery’s delicious honest-to-goodness, home-made ice cream – there is truly nothing quite like it!
Fortunately, when it comes to ice cream, in addition to The Creamery, the neighbourhood of Sea Point certainly isn’t lacking in this department – even for those with very high standards. What can we say – Sea Point definitely takes its ice cream seriously!
#10 Do some City Sightseeing
By far one of the best things to do in Sea Point is going on one or all (why not take full advantage?) of the endlessly popular and oh-so-fun City Sightseeing tours, which run along and through the Sea Point stretch.
In particular, both the Red City Tour and Blue Mini Peninsula Tour respectively will take you from the V&A Waterfront, through the city to Camps Bay and then back through Sea Point and its surrounds. (There are multiple hop-on, hop-off stops available at every stage of the tour!)
