#IMHOFF EQUESTRIAN CENTRE
Imhoff Equestrian Centre offers 1hour 45-minute guided beach horse rides from the Imhoff Farm in the picturesque coastal town of Kommetjie. While in the saddle, you might catch a glimpse of otters, seals, birdlife, dolphins, and whales as you travel through wetlands and out onto the silver sands of Noordhoek Beach. Riding along the water’s edge or the back pan towards Chapman’s Peak and back, this is one incredible adventure you won’t soon forget! The Imhoff Equestrian Centre has 3 rides daily 9am, 1pm and 4.30pm (December – Mid March) or 9am, 12.30 pm and 4.00pm depending on the season (Mid-March – November). They cater for all levels of riders with a minimum age limit of 12 years old.
#AFRICAN HORSE COMPANY
Based 180km from Cape Town city centre, in the unspoiled Overberg region of the Western Cape, the African Horse Company offers multi-day horse trails and out-rides of an hour to the better part of the day. You can choose between 1-6-hour beach and mountain out rides and 2-10-day overnight trails catering for beginners and advanced horse riders. All horseback riding adventures are accompanied by a local guide with a vast knowledge of the area, fauna and flora and hidden gems along the way. These guides are also very experienced riders and trained in first aid – you can rest assured that you will in great hands!
The beach trails will take riders along the beautiful beaches and Overberg coastline, over white sand dunes and through vast stretches of nature, which includes an up-close view of the Cape’s endemic Fynbos. #KLEIN PARADYS EQUESTRIAN CENTRE
Located close to the beautiful Western Cape coastal town of Hermanus, Kleinmond and Fisherhaven, the Klein Paradys Equestrian Centre in Botrivier has established themselves as one of the go-to equestrian centres in the Overberg region. In operation for 17 years, owners Manfred and Sue offer their experience with horses and knowledge of the region to all visitors to the Overberg.
From short trail rides on the beach, vineyards or in the nature reserve, to self-tailored rides that span over a few days and even include wine-tasting journeys, Klein Paradys offers a memorable equestrian experience in one of the most beautiful natural gems in the Western Cape.
